About the work: Based on the famous Gaddi Torso (2nd century BC) from Le Gallerie degli Ufizi in Florence which art historians consider a fragment of a centaur (a creature from Greek mythology with the upper body of a human and the lower body and legs of a horse). This sculpture took two years to make and 120.000 bees. It is the largest single piece made by bees at our Lakeside Bee Farm and possibly the largest sculpture in the world ever made this way.
